Search the Midhudson
Library System catalog
When you are seeking out material to borrow, we offer you the holdings of our
library as well as those of all 70 libraries in the MidHudson Library System.
By using the Request-A-Title function, you may place a hold on the title you
select. This is called a "System Hold."
Search the SouthEastern
(SEAL) New York Library catalog
If you fail to find what you desire in the MidHudson catalog, widen your search
to this database that includes catalogs from neighboring counties. These include
school, public, private and academic libraries. If you find what you desire,
call us or stop in, so we can place an interlibrary loan request for you.
Search the New
York State Library catalog
If you fail to find what you desire by searching SEAL, expand your search
to the state-wide level. When we place an interlibrary loan request for you
at this level, indicate how much money you would be willing to pay to receive
this item, as there may be a charge from the loaning library.
Search the Library
of Congress catalog
If your title is not held at the state level, try the national level with
the Library of Congress. This is a good search to make to double-check the
authenticity of the title or author. Holdings are not listed, but if you don't
find it here, it's a good indication that your information may be misspelled
or have some other inaccuracy.
There is even a catalog we search at the Library called WorldCat that lists
holdings on an international basis, so we should be able to get the most obscure
titles for you. Please keep in mind that there will most likely be a charge
levied at this level. |
