Circulation
Policy Circulation
Policy Books, books on tape and books on CD have a loan period of three weeks. Magazines, videocassettes and DVDs have a loan period of one week. Reference books and local history materials do not circulate. Internet Use Policy The Board of Trustees affirms the American Library Association's "Code of Ethics" which states in part:
The Board of Trustees respects the responsibility of parents to monitor their children's reading and access to information. It is not the obligation of either the Board or the Library staff to monitor or review minors, or any patrons utilization of databases or information sources accessed at the Library. Library Staff are delegated the authority to: 1) insure Marlboro patrons have first priority in use of such terminals; and 2) when and if demand necessitates, make such rules as may be required or are appropriate to limit time spent by patrons accessing the Internet and other electronic information resources. To view a complete copy of this policy, please visit the Library and request a copy of the Internet Use Policy. Community Room Use
Policy Community Room space is available for the gathering of any responsible group or organization, civic, educational, intellectual, or cultural whose purpose is legal and whose conduct is in accord with Library rules and regulations. The Library does not necessarily advocate or endorse the viewpoints of meetings or meeting room users. Use of the room is free of charge. Any group which is authorized to use the Community Room space shall not be allowed to charge admission for any program. The Library Board reserves the right to cancel any program that it deems inappropriate or inconsistent with the Library's stated goals and objectives, or inappropriate for the Library facility. If a request for Community Room use is, for any reason, denied by the Library Director, the person or group may appeal the decision directly to the Board of Trustees, through the Board President. To view a complete copy of this policy, please visit the Library and request a copy of the Community Room Use Policy. |
