Friends of the
Marlboro Free Library

Established in 1969, the Friends of the Library create awareness and appreciation of our library services. They raise funds for the Library by selling donated books from the Book Barn. If you would like to donate books, please call Elsie Nicklin-McKay at 236-4080. They also organize a carol-sing, host a major fundraising event in the Fall, and administer an annual fund drive. Monies that they have raised in the past paid for such library improvements and enhancements as a circulation desk for the children's area, a helium tank for inflating balloons, baby-changing stations for library restrooms, holiday costumes for the public to borrow, outdoor plants and tubs to beautify the grounds, a color printer, a new American flag, and many, many other items. They meet once a month at the library. They are always looking for people who believe that local volunteerism makes a difference, and for people with good ideas. Please call or e-mail Elsie Nicklin-McKay if you would like to join.
